This explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We kept it short and honest.

Cortalim is a dynamic QR code and short link product made by VisNavigans Inc. When we say “we” or “us” on this page, we mean VisNavigans Inc. If you have a question about anything here, email support@cortalim.com.
We collect two kinds of data: what you give us for your account, and what we record when someone scans one of your codes or opens one of your links.
For your account, we store your name and email address, plus the codes and links you create.
When a code is scanned or a link is opened, we record:
A note on IP addresses. We use the IP address to work out a city and country, and to filter out bots and datacenter traffic. We do not show the raw IP address to you as someone’s identity, and we do not treat it as a precise identity. Your analytics show a city, not a person.
We collect scan data for three reasons:
Your account data exists so you can sign in, manage your codes, and get support.
We only set the cookies needed to run the app — things like keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services we need to run Cortalim:
These providers handle data on our behalf and only for the purpose of running the service.
We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. We keep scan records so your analytics stay useful over time. When you delete a code, its scan history goes with it. When you close your account, we delete your account data and associated scan records, except for anything we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as payment records.
Deleting your account does not delete the codes for the people you shared them with in the sense of breaking them mid-print — but if you ask us to remove your data, your codes and their analytics are removed.
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, export it, or delete it. We aim to be friendly to GDPR and CCPA rights, wherever you live. To make a request, email support@cortalim.com from the address on your account and tell us what you want:
We will not charge you for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your data safe and to fix problems quickly when we find them.
Cortalim is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, email support@cortalim.com and we will remove it.
We and our providers may process and store data in countries other than the one you live in. When we move data across borders, we rely on our providers’ safeguards to protect it to a similar standard.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. If a change is significant, we will do our best to tell account holders directly.
